Photo-Op Roundup!

OMG, when I said "Condi's back!" I wasn't really prepared for the relentless barrage of posed photo-ops, dueling podiums and matching armchairs which followed. Let's catch up, OK? First up, France's Interior Minister:

And, yes, that's immediately after Condi returned from her romantic getaway with Canadian Foreign Minister Peter MacKay, as documented on Tuesday. People, I think the fact that Condi didn't even change her outfit kinda puts the kibosh on the whole romantic speculation thing, don't you? (According to the NY Times and Pony Pal™ Lulu, all of Canada is positively atwitter about all this.) But anyway, don't you love the pose with the French guy? It's like they're saying, "You're stupid! No, you're stupid!" Silly diplomats! You're both right!

Next up is the President of South Korea:

Ah yes, meetings and sightseeing. And here he is with one of Washington's most popular visitor attractions: Condi! But notice that this isn't Condi's plush palace at the State Department, but some dump called the Blair House, so they've had to make up for the lack of a fireplace, standard to the matching armchairs photo-op, with a selection of lovely bowls! Works for me.

Next on La Rice's dance card was the Polish Prime Minister, and he was kinda given the bum's rush, and was merely allowed to stand near the matching armchairs, not in them:

Not much to say about this encounter. Cute li'l munchkin, isn't he? But get out of the way, Short-stuff, because Condi's got a date with some podiums:

And who was her dueling podium date? Why, it's her Iraeli counterpart, the excitingly-named Tzipi Livni:

Clearly, Condi madly loves this woman, and that's even more proof that her fling with Peter MacKay was all a sham.

Whew! That's a lotta Condoleezza! And that doesn't even include today's photo-ops! Will Condi end the week with a bang, or is she all worn out and used up by this time? Stay tuned!

Hey Princess,

I'm guessing the photo op with the Polish Prime Minister was taken while standing because the White House had foresight to realize that his feet would dangle too much if he was sitting -- distracting too much from our Lady of Fashion. Plus, it seems to me that this makes Ms. Rice looks more imposing, a very important point when you're gonna start a war with Iran.

Anywho, Love you more than most of my jewelry,

Tami

What do think of the swictheroo that happened with the Korean guy? Condi's usually in the other chair? Is that a occidental oriental sort of thing?

Also great slip with the polish guy:

and was merely allowed to stand near the matching armchairs, not in them

Short people never get the respect they deserve.....'

How would Mme Vunderscarf Plasnik look standing in a chair?

The Israeli FM is clearly the bigger butch, something Condi has looked for for eons. I'm sure she was just swapping tales of how hard it is to be the hottest person in a cabinet with Mr. MacKay. It's not like there's competition.

I never realized the Travelocity Gnome was Polish. The things you can learn from the Glitterati!

Love the Scylla and Charybdis podia shot! What's your fave photog been up to? Did he get bored waiting for Bitchface (I say that with love) to come back to work and wander off elsewhere?

Princess,

Do you think the midget Polish guy was (a) sacred shitless of aggressive U.S. media cameras (b) worried that he would get an erection looking at an "exotic" African-American lady (c) concerned that his evident constipation, caused by the irregularities of jet lag, would never go away (d) think that his apparatchik suit might be inappropriate and overly "retro" in "snazzy" America (e) be thinking about his president brother (hope I'm getting my facts right here), apparently as much of a right wing asshole as he is ...

This particular post on the very special blog is truly a Condoleezan Garden of Earthly Delights.

Hope you can feel the love Princess! Because I am sure that Condi can.

Alternate quote for Tzipi/Condi photo...You had me at Shalom!

Condi's pose with the podiums --- how very Martin Scorcese --- Goodshoelady!

there must be trouble in the marriage -- i havent seen La Condi with her husband lately? could there be disagreement over which country to use as a launching base into Iran?

I love love love love Condi's expression in that last pic with Livni. It's like the Condibot, Pinocchio-style, is getting a glimpse of what a real live human is....and she likes it. Those movable arms, that wash n go hair, I mean Livni looks like she just came from dropping off the kids and dropped by to kick some ass in the boardroom. I fully expect Condi was in her bedroom that night, imitating her in the mirror.

Tzipi's name is actually Tzipora but somehow prefers to be called Tzipi even in official functions. I guess that's like William Jefferson Clinton prefering to be called Bill Clinton. In any case, the Tz Tzipi is spelt with the Hebrew letter tsade and her name is pronounces Tsipi (ts as thet 'ts' in 'peanuTS', as most of you would have known) so it's not exactly as exciting as Zippy.
