Callista Gingrich Riched It Up At Inauguration, Was Mistaken For Important Person

Newt 'n' Cally showed up at the inauguration yesterday, for some reason, and my goodness, our Beloved Moon Goddess's superb full-length mink coat was to die for! And Newt's Burberry wasn't too shabby, either. The Blaze (I know, I know), however, reports this amusing anecdote:

“There’s Jill Biden!” one attendee remarked, looking at the live feed of the event projected on the jumbo screen put up in front of the Capitol building. After a moment of getting a better look at the woman on the screen and seeing that it was actually Callista Gingrich, wife of former Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich, the attendee and a few others laughed then booed loudly.

Ha ha ha... yeaaaaah, that's not Jill Biden.

The commenters at The Blaze made a feeble attempt to gin up outrage over the booing, but their hearts just weren't in it.

I'm stuck at Newt's tie! So purple-y!

Where do DC men get those awful ties? I have a feeling Brooks Brothers is to blame.

Newt can look dumpy even in a Burberry. Way to go, Newt! Next time just shop at the Burlington Coat Factory!

And Petey, aren't you buoyed aloft by Condi's new gig for CBS News?

2013 is so promising, yes?

p.s. He is muttering, Shoulda been me, shoulda been me.

Well, see my post on the CBS/Condi thing. I don't know what they think they're purchasing.

At least people who give Newt's various groups money can see what it's spent on.

If she's going to be with that over the hill dough boy, you can bet he's going to pay.

Newtie's got those thigh wrinkles and hiked up cuffs that afflict many overweight older men.

Petey, what's you're take on Hilary's hair now? I'm kinda liking this look.

I like it! It's less "trying too hard" than in the recent past. I've been diplomatically avoiding the subject, because I like Hilary!

I did not like Michelles bangs and huge false eyelashes. She looked uncomfortable. Sorry, the new hair doo reminded me of those cage dancers doing the pony...the only thing missing was go-go boots.

As a large person myself, even I know that when you have a long coat, you button it for maximum effect when walking.

The sway of the hem as your legs push forward is intoxicating to viewers.

And inside your happy, warm mind you can think "I look like one of the Earp brothers or Doc Holliday in Tombstone."

Even if you really look like Silent Bob's older, fatter brother.
