"If Schadenfreude Had Calories, I'd Be Obese Right Now"

That's what I told my friends at lunch today, and they all responded that I had to share the phrase with the world, so there you go.

Anyway, it's impossible to pick out my favorite bit of Republican Sadness (although White People Mourning Romney is a strong contender, particularly this post), but I do heartily recommend visiting Pony Pal Joe for a poignant (not really) and hilarious series of posts of reactions from hairdresser marriage opponents who "have the sadz."

A delectable banquet, a feast of Schadenfreude! There is always that spin class in the morning, bring more on.

Love the screen shot about drowning sorrows in alcohol. Of course, they'll all develop health problems and end up depending on Obamacare,.. railing against Barack all the way....

Am I going to hell for laughing? Of course not, I'm an atheist. Thank you for putting a smile on my face. Bookmarked it for future laughs.

After viewing the White People Mourning Romney I now know that I am immoral for voting for Obama... several Romney supporters expressed that they now hate America, one photo showed an old guy staring at an American flag like he wants to burn it, one girl wrote that she's now afraid to have kids (PLEASE DON'T), one changed her FB display to SECEDE (Please do...)
I really think we should give them Texas and call it good. What is fascinating is the utter shock that anyone might disagree with them. My D friends in a very, very blue state were well aware of the viewpoints of nearly half the USA...but these people live in SUCH a bubble.

I love the tingly effervescence of Republican tears!

I say give them Arizona as punishment and use them to do our yardwork in Texas.
If schadenfreude had calories,I'd be wider than Chris Christie.

Hey, hey, hey! Leave Arizona out of this.

Well... OK, how about this: give them MOST of Arizona, but let Pima County stay with the rest of us.

I had to stop looking through that Tumblr, because I feared for my soul.

But, strangely, it also reminded me how fraking unhappy I was in 2004. I remember how some folks said (in varying degrees of seriousness) they'd move to Canada. Or "Couldn't we just split off from the USA" type of riffs. In some ways, this felt like a bookend to it.

And it's unsettling. Did we get lucky? What is the next 2004 going to look like and why will we be there again?

Oh, maybe just one more WPMR picture . . . I can quite any time . . .
