Now We Know Why Callista Loves Newt So Much

FILE - In this June 8, 2011 file photo, Republican presidential hopeful, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, accompanied by his wife Callista Gingrich, speaks in Hudson, N.H.  Gingrich's campaign manager and numerous other key aides have resigned together, a strong blow to his hopes for the Republican presidential nomination.  (AP Photo/Cheryl Senter, File)

Oh Newt, are you sure you're not exaggerating just a little? Haw, OK, dumb joke. But anyway, Pony Pal™/coworker John was pretty upset yesterday: "I want Newt to stay in!" Not me, though. I want Newt to get back to what matters, raking in huge sums of money in the private sector so that he can continue to shower Queen Callista with mounds of fabulous Tiffany jewelry.

And because I love you, and I know you love Callista, here's a very special detail from the photo above which will absolutely make you wet your pants with joy:

Callista, you are one out-of-sight fantastic lady!

Speaking of which, She has become the scapegoat to some for everything wrong with Newt's campaign. From Politico:

Sources connected to Gingrich’s departed team said many of those who left were pinning some of the blame for the candidate’s missteps on his wife, Callista. “He does whatever she wants,” said one source, who added that the Greek cruise was long-scheduled but that Gingrich didn’t feel he could put up an argument against it.

Another source gave the same account.

“She insisted on the cruise,” said this source.

Shut up, Politico. What's good for Callista is good for America.

I don’t want to rain on your crush on Callista, but the photo of Callista and Jaba the Hutt. Callista’s hair roots are kind of hinting that she needs to go to the hair colorist, tout de suite? Obviously, she went before Greece, and has been planning her first White House official dinner guest list, that she forgot to make an appointment..

Are there any pictures of her with her natural hair color, it looks like chestnut, instead of the canary blond color she uses to match her wardrobe..

I'm waiting to hear that Newt resigned from his own campaign.

But I wonder what she's staring at here, with an intensity I've only seen on men at the urinals in a crowded bathroom (at the wall directly in front of them), or, well, Kermit tracking lunch.

She's got a certain Lovecraftian bewitchery about her. I agree that Newt needs to get his priorities (namely, Callista) straight, lest she open up some cans of Elder God whup-ass on him.

Plastica, not Callista, Plastica.

Poor dear, I almost feel sorry for her.

Can you believe this is (was!) her??

Whoa, good find, Champ.

H/t to commenter nutella on Rumproast, somewhere I can't find anymore. Also definitely raises the issue of long-term exposure to Aqua Net fumes!

Holy Cow! That...that...that's amazing. So normal looking, not like the Stepford-confection perfection she is now!

I can only imagine she got her super Fab powers from exposure to some highly unstable Glamium, and a couple of isotopes kicked it up a notch for her. A notch? Hell, a whole belt! Yow!

Whatta makeover. I guess Newt got tired of being asked to introduce his daughter...

I think she's developing a case of crazy eyes.

M.D. Champ FTW, as the young people are fond of typing. She really did scream "second trophy wife" back in the day.

Let us not forget that when he dumped wife number 2 for young Callista, told the woman he was leaving that she was a Jaguar and he needed a Chevrolet.

She was one cherry Camaro back then, and an old Jag is nothing but grief.

I'm not sure M.D. Champ has the goods. Here's a picture that's allegedly for LIFE magazine in 1997 up on crooksandliars. It's hard to say what the date is because Newt looks very much the same.

The cute girl in the other picture has a smaller nose, narrower face and stronger chin, while the purported 1997 picture of Callista looks much more like the woman we know 14 years later, just without the fabulous hair care.

(Note to PSP: If you see both my comments, kill the other one and post this one.)
