Interlude

While you were watching Joe Biden saying "Fuck," a word nobody else uses, ever, under any circumstances, I was enjoying the calm influence of the scene above, taken from my parent's backyard.

In other words, I have returned! To the cold!

It'll take a few days to get back into the swing of things, but hello! I heard Obama signed something? About bricks getting thrown through office windows? Ah, civility.

Oh, those Santa Catalinas. Sometimes I really miss 'em!

Yes Princess! It's a revolution!!

People are rioting in the streets because Congress didn't include a public option or single payer system. They're angry over decades of lousy, corporatist, profit-driven health care coverage that's more or less sustained in the new law. They're angry over rising health care costs that have burried them in debt.

JUST KIDDING. HaHAHAHA LOLz.

Rincons?

You must miss them enough to forget what they look like, Madduane! Patrick is closer, but they are, in fact, the unimaginatively-named Tucson Mountains.

Hooray!

I knew it was one or the other. I took a shot.

But see, now this is bugging me. The Tucsons, are the ones that if you're going from downtown towards Pima College, they're beyond that campus, right? Like if you're going towards old Tucson or whatever? And the Catalinas are the big prominent range that is to the northwest of town, that is the range that the "foothills" are the foothills of, right? My head hurts.

looking at Granite Mountain in the Bradshaws a bit north of you (Prescott-cowboy capital of the world)

Sarah Palin has a nice handout she is giving people. A map "targeting" the Democratic senators who supported health care.
this map points out the locations of senators with a gun sight graph.

You know, in the cross hairs.

Madduane, yes, the foothills of the Catalinas are The Foothills™.

More or less, the Tucson Mountains (with Saguaro National Monument) are West, the Catalinas, the largest, are North, the Rincons are East and the Santa Ritas are South.

I think.

not a huge fan of nature, but your picture sure is pretty.

Yes, after a long weekend of folks on Capitol Hill in silly hats and chanting Kill, Kill.. we all awoke to the same old USA.

Odd, and I thought after all the doomy gloomy predictions I'd find them speaking Russian on NPR. Alas no.

So glad you're back.
And I imagine you saw that view from your parents' back yard, took a deep breath, then started missing the hustle and bustle of DC.

As for Joe Biden, passing HCR was a big fucking deal, and if anyone wants to bitch about what he said, I say BFD.
