Sarah Palin Namechecks Obscure 80s Irish Goth Classic

KOTZEBUE, Alaska (AP) - Sarah Palin says she's not a quitter, she's a fighter, but adds that, politically speaking, "if I die, I die. So be it."

Sarah, to quote the song "Baby Turns Blue" from the album shown above, you don't seem to make much sense.

Ha ha.

I thought I was the only one who clocked this!

Damn. Now I really regret selling that one off.

Prune - yes.

Virgin - maybe not so much!

I thought she was just quoting the punchline from John McCain's second-favorite joke (after the marvelous ape one).

What a great album! I have the vinyl and 1st CD pressing. I never saw The VPs but was lucky enough to see Gavin Friday when he toured for "Shag Tobacco." What an electric evening. He could teach Mr. Bowie a thing or two about presence and staging.

Sort of like how Ms. Palin could teach Boo Radley a thing or two about being 'teched. That woman's a Family-Sized Bucket O' Crazy!

It is totally a great album. I'm sure it can be found on the music blogs, too.
