Love this hack. . . *snert* May Evil Marge Gunderson be banished to the frozen wilds from which she emerged, and have to pay taxes on her wardrobe.

I wish I weren't sick. . . don't suppose champagne and antibiotics mix well. Guess there is always Jan. 20th! May I not be speaking too soon, but--Pennsylvania!

And as of the time of this post, it's STILL hacked! Guess no one cares anymore.

actually not a proper security hack... what happened here is that the script for the site allows Javascript and HTML added to a variable in the URL to resolve on the page itself. This is what made it happen:

&ptype=00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000&dist="onmouseover%3d'alert("Help send Palin back to goddamned wasilla%2c forever!")%3bwindow.location%3d"http%3a%2f%2fwonkette.com"%3breturn false%3b' style%3d'overflow%3ahidden%3bposition%3aabsolute%3btop%3a0px%3bleft%3a0px%3bwidth%3a100%25%3bheight%3a40px%3bbackground-color%3a%23FF0000%3btext-align%3aleft%3bfont-size%3a23pt%3b'">Wonkette are my favrite websites!!

Still admirable, but no web security was violated.

I clicked on the link, and by now (Thursday), it connected me to McCain Road to Victory [sic] Events in Nevada. I filled my address here in D.C. into the "Get Directions" form, and received a real-live hejira! A five-day road trip, ending with a turn on South Chardonnay Street (those elitists!), and from there to my "destination": Reno-Sparks Livestock Events. *Snerk*
