Obama Confronts Tragedy in Jordan

Jordan's King Abdullah (L) welcomes US Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) upon his arrival at the Royal Palace in Amman July 22, 2008. REUTERS/Naser Ayoub (JORDAN) US PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION CAMPAIGN 2008

I was so excited! All day I was waiting for the Obama/Abdullah pics to come in, anxious to report about the meeting between our next president and Jordan's adorable bear-king. And what do I get? Shaved Abdullah. This is terrible. How am I supposed to write about the adorable bear-king when he no longer looks like an adorable bear? Please compare and see for yourself. Oh, I'm just so upset!

perhaps I'm just free-associating here, but that depilated smile has a Buscemi-like quality to it...

Way OT -- Bub, PSP I just finished the Brent Rinhart opus & noticed an artist's credit & couldn't resist checking it out.... Apparently others have used The Google, too:

Perhaps the IT guys forgot to install the beard application on the Abdullah-bot?

You know, King Abdullah was an extra on Star Trek once.

He's still cute, Princess! (though I admit the beard was better...)

I think it's an imposter. There's no way that little impish guy is our cuddly Abdullah-bear.

I'd say this rises to the level of "international incident"--sending a "Dave"-like imposter to meet Obama. The nerve!

I think he looks cuter sans the face fur. Kind of like a successful used car dealer, no?
Man, Obama is really charming those wackos in the Middle East.
I think after years of Bush and now McCain, the Ay-rabs are digging ths new guy.
Over at my blog, my crack team of investigative reporter has discovered Maliki's translated secret diary. You might like it, Ms Pony.

Oh, don't worry too much, Princess - the King is, after all, from one of the more hirsute parts of the world. Give him 15 minutes and the beard will be back in all its glory.

Bummer. Allah will probably strike him dead.

He was indeed on an episode of Voyager! I think he basically smiled and nodded or something. So adorable!

What kind of fuckery is that?

So so wrong!

Norn Cutson said...

he was much cuter before, ESPECIALLY since he over-plucked his eyebrows (that can make the hottest the NOTest)

Yo, Mo; do you "put a fatwa on" or "slap a fatwa on"? - as with subpoenas.
