Sunday Shoutyheads Find Condi Wanting

TV Week just released this neat study about, like, rating the pundits 'n' such. They asked bookers, producers, hosts, etc., and OMG, so mean to Condi! She goes out of her way to ruin a Sunday for them, and they say things like this:

In some cases, administration officials, some of them once highly sought-after as guests, now are seen as being on perpetual spin cycle for so long their cachet has been wrung dry.

And in some cases, the officials clearly are deliberately keeping their profiles low. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, said one newsmaker veteran, is laying so low, “She’s under the rug in the living room.”

Ha ha! Wow, is it just me, or are people starting to write accurately about Condi more and more often? Is the era of the Condi Puff Piece over?

OK, but back to TV Week's thing. Did America's Princess Diplomat win any of the individual categories in this Talking Head beauty pageant? Of course she did:

DOESN’T MAKE THE NEWS THEY PROBABLY SHOULD:

Leading vote-getter: Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice “never says anything.” “Everybody got really tired of the spin.”

Tired of the spin? Are they insane? Later, somebody also says she “just goes through life with talking points.” Ungrateful! At least she gets her props for being chatty in the green room. Other humorous results:

UNDER THE MISTAKEN IMPRESSION THAT THEY ARE THE BIGGEST GET

Leading vote-getter: Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., long known for being drawn like a moth to the television spotlight.

THE HARDEST TO GET

Leading vote-getter: Vice President Dick Cheney. “He doesn’t give a s***. He’s checked out,” said one respondent. “I don’t know what he does all day,” said another.

OMG! Three princess posts in one day! It's like watching Hank Aaron at batting practice, hitting 'em out one after the other.

OMG, I'm so glad to hear the pundits agree that Condi's appearances on their shows are nothing more than her stale recitation of the talking points du jour.
After seven+ years, I've yet to hear her say anything unscripted.
She's kinda...robotic.

Love the comments on The Dark Lord; indeed, what DOES he do all day? Eat roasted children? Sharpen his claws? File down his horns? Enquiring minds want to know.

Not only are people saying mean things about Condi, they are painting mean pictures of her as a child.

Is it my imagination or has the good Dr. Shoes finally got her 2 top front teeth evened-out and lessened the gap in between them? Her smile is really pretty in this photo of her in the Middle East, again...and...again.

I recite my rosary every day, knowing, somehow, that darling PSP is a collapsed Catholic, with the "unam, sanctam, catolicam" faith (how weird these Latin words sound to our modern ears) never abandoning this exceptional mind's(PSP's) subtle and ironic (and, may I suggest, thanks, perhaps, to the Holy Virgin, humorous) treatment of life under the fascist regime we (and how we can forget, as if this comparison can even be made, if we have any conscience, the murdered Iraqis and Afghans by the US military (i.e., us) have all endured for seven-plus years.

Ha ha, I don't understand that painting!

Anonymous, you got the lapsed Catholic part right! However, I had a totally non-intrusive Catholic experience as a child. Our church was totally smiley face, folk mass, free to be you and me. In other words, boring.

As for the rest, um, I guess!

Princess, I'm glad you understood what Anon wrote because I got lost after the 15th parenthesis.
I too am a lapsed Catholic but I bailed right before confirmation classes ended.
Lucky for me, my mom let me quit after I quizzed her about some of the church's more ridiculous rules.
