We Have a Contender...

...for the meanest article about Condi EVER. It's in The Guardian, and you can read it here. I don't have the time to comment on it now, but I just wanted to post the link so that people would stop emailing me about it! I'll update this post later.

There is some serious vivisection going on in that article--thanks for the link! What would we do without you, Princess?

Allen says Rice had to give up the piano because she expressed no emotion and would never be great.

But then Allen says Rice was peerless as an academic.

In terms of advancement, yes, but she had no more feeling for scholarship than she'd had for music. The American Historical Review panned the only book she ever wrote by herself.

The reviewer says she “does not sift facts from propaganda” and “passes judgments and expresses opinions without adequate knowledge of the facts.” He says her work “abounds with meaningless phrases.”

As a bonus he thinks Condi is a man.

I don't buy this gender-race based article.

Indeed the author -- seeing "Dr" Rice primarily in terms of her biological make up/genetic origin -- is very much like the regime that hired the pseudo doctor to demonstrate its "compassionate conservatism."

Let's leave the woman/black issue aside and face the basic fact that "Dr" Rice is an intellectual fraud, no matter what her sex/racial extraction is. See the article mentioned above above re Rice's one and only book she penned by herself (and with the help, by the way, of "research assistants," as she herself points out).

Why not remember the profound words of Martin Luther King:

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."

Anonymous clearly didn't read the Guardian article through to its conclusion!

The word Oreo comes to mind in recapping that piece.

Allen's column just shows what black people have been talking about among themselves for the past 6 years when it comes to Rice. Read the first chapter in Marcus Mabry's biography of Condi. He writes about how there was a mutiny and HUGE fight at Essence magazine (which Rice subscribes to or at least she did) when the staff learned that the senior editors were planning to put Rice on the cover. They ended up running the story but putting someone else on the cover.
