McCain Lapel Watch Day 5! Still Gallantly Pinless!

Up-to-the-minute news! John McCain is still bravely sporting his naked lapels for all to see at tonight's debate, seen above. I'll hand it to him: he didn't cave!

But! He's aware of it, because when he feels a little insecure about his pinlessness, out come the bracelets:

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., talks about the bracelet he now wears in memory of SPC Matthew J. Stanley, of the U.S. Army, from New Hampshire, who recently died in Iraq, during a news conference at his local office Friday, Oct. 5, 2007 in Phoenix. McCain met Stanley's mother on the campaign trail while in New Hampshire where he was given the bracelet. (AP Photo/Ross D. Franklin)

Pony Pals may recall that we've seen this wrist accessory as protagonist act before here at PSP:

The band has changed, but the song remains the same! Hooray for Walnuts!

Be fair. It's obvious that he's storing his flag pins in his cheeks, for winter.

Congrats on scooping Lou Dobbs, Princess! Though he overlooks the old Fading Desert Squirrel and focuses in on some much more insidious non-accessorizers - namely Katie Couric, Barack Obama and Bill Moyers!

I think it's great that Mr. Lewd Obbs takes such a firm stance on such an important fashion story. And I'm with him! Let your freak lapels fly I say. Four more wars!

I'm SURE he's wearing the bracelet in memory of the soldier, NOT because someone on the campaign trail gave it to him. I'm sure it has deep personal meaning to him, and it reminds him of just how much he loved Stanley.... oh wait, yeah, he didn't even know Stanley.

This guy is such a fucking phony. Someone could've thrown a cowpie at his chest and said it was in memory of his dead-soldier son, and McCain would probably be sporting that too.

God, Walnuts really looks like a Thalidomide baby in that top photo. Or if that's too offensive for you, then let's just say he looks like a Munchkin.

Rudy and Fred appear to be the only ones. What a shock!

John McCain foolishly trained to rain bombs upon an oppressed people...was tortured, "slain" and then arose from the dead as an Anti-Geppetto...A tragic story of a weak man who transformed into a real puppet for the New World Order demons of destruction. Too bad the VC didn't teach you about honor...TRAITOR
