Such Blatant Pandering to Sparkle Pony Readers Cannot Go Unnoted

It's so true! Take THAT, Edwards! (via Politico)

I know this is Unbelievably Not Photoshopped, but it seems so unbelievable nonetheless. And yet postmodern: is she mocking herself? is she giving us fashion tips? Is she looking for a First Stylist? I am genuinely confused and would like to see this in its original placement, if in fact it is not made up. Is it not made up? Should I cut or should I color?

This is like seeing the makeover after the makeover after the makeover after... Well, you get it.

I am particularly looking away from the buttercup yellow suit photo... yeech. I think I'd rather look at Robert Zoellick!

And that RayBan edition on the right...WTF is all that?

However, the self aggrandizing one in the middle takes the cake, doesn't it?

Hillary Not For President - It is the only thing my super right wing conservo-nut brother and I can agree on!

I like the Ray-Ban one. Toughie girl! All she needs is a rat-tail comb in her back pocket.

Oh. Princess! Modesty becomes you so, but we all know you wave your hand and nations tremble. You browse the web for amusing photos and the fates of republics hang in the balance.

I sometimes think the naughty guys and gals over at the White House behave so blatantly badly because once a slow news day occurs, the 24 hour cable outfits will finally reaize and have to broadcast the obvious truth.

It's Princess Sparkle Pony's world! We just live in it!

It's funny... I so don't want Hilary in the White House again (too mid-to-right wing for my tastes). That said, one thing I've always liked about her is her sense of adventure at the hands of her hair stylist. I love going to my very talented artiste every 6 weeks and coming up with something new that still retains the image of myself as I see it. A work in progress is much more interesting than something carved in stone.

Hey, any woman who lived through the 80s has photos of herself in some amazingly awful 'dos. Hillary is part of that proud coiffurely-challenged sorority (we had to have those shoulder pads just to balance out the height of our bangs).

On the bright side, we should note that Hillary's eyebrows have assumed a more pleasing shape.

I'm so glad I'm a like totally bald over-the-hill I guess hetero male. Much less to worry about. Love you princess...

what about a photo from the big nerdy glasses, long straight hippyish hair college era? It seems a telling omission, but that is my favorite hillary.

Mmmm. I daresay that all of us, looking back over the years, would demonstrate as many hair changes as Hillary in these photos. The men, I venture to guess, have also gone through a series of cuts, from long hair to long sideburns to short hair with long sideburns to no hair with long sideburns and a mustache, etc. Just look through your photo album and observe your fathers or husbands.

Look, I love snark. I adore it. And nothing is so sacred on my blog that I won't snark it, but I do think that Hillary in each of these stages has stuck to the classic bob in all its manifestations. Just a thought.

Damn. I didn't mean to be nice.

I want it long, straight, curly, fuzzy
Snaggy, shaggy, ratty, matty
Oily, greasy, fleecy
Shining, gleaming, streaming
Flaxen, waxen
Knotted, polka-dotted
Twisted, beaded, braided
Powdered, flowered, and confettied
Bangled, tangled, spangled, and spaghettied!

boy could Susan Cowsill hit those notes

I have to agree: the yellow outfit does nothing for her. No, scratch that. It does something, but a negative something. It's not good whatever it is. And the frilly collar only accentuates the Fabergé Eggy-ness of it all.

I think the 'do she's got now suits her. It says "power mom, with highlights."

And as for the long coif with pink shoulderpads, well, those were the days of our lives. My brief flirtation with a mullet in 1987 is recorded in yearbook posterity. Those were different times.

I'm not even that crazy about her (yet)but I have to say her latest cut and color looks great to me.
