Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, right, looks on as British Foreign Secretary David Miliband gestures towards the British press as they wait for the arrival of President Bush and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Monday, July 30, 2007, at Camp David, Md. (AP Photo/Charles Dharapak)
Hmmm... wispy Mr. Miliband seems like a poor substitute for Dr. Ferragamo's former playmate, Jack Straw. Remember those jolly times when they went to football games together in Alabama? It seems like so long ago. Don't sneeze, Condi, or he'll blow
But the bestest news? Dr. Secretary and her tiny, yet perfectly formed playmate Robert Gates are hitting the Middle East tomorrow. OMG, they're probably arriving right now! Yay! Many matching armchairs and strategically-placed boxes of Kleenex await!
*Why isn't this wonderful verb used in American English? It's so efficient! We have to use several words to describe the same thing: making faces, etc. Use it in a sentence today!

You know, I applaud this tag trend, and I'm tickled mauve at the recent additions.
At the risk of hopping on that bus too late, I would respectfully suggest "unpleasant gurning" as a new tag addition.
A possible downside I can forsee is that nearly every photgraphed politician other than Ursula would have to get that tag applied.
Samael, yeah, I think that tag casts too wide a net. I also abandoned the "conditrips" tag for the same reason.
I really want to keep the topic tags to a minimum. "Arab Kleenex" is one of my favorites, though.
Is there ever such a thing as "pleasant gurning"? Examples, anyone?
That's rather what I suspected. You'd manditorally have to tag Condi with that every time anyway.
(And "Arab Kleenex?" Brilliant.)
They both look dreadful, aliens in a post-Brit/Am empire world.
Yes, but just like Jack Straw, he too is married. Poor, poor Condi, I can't help thinking that she so desperately needs someone to love her, and I don't mean that in a sexist, because-she-is-a-woman sort of way (I am also of the x chromosome). But just think how happy we mere mortals are when we are in love; how could we not want that for the good Dr? Someone should give that Peter Mackay a ring...
Gurning or no, I think Mr M is quite dishy! Maybe he's Condi's rebound guy since Peter Mackay blew her off.

My first thought when I saw this pic was "hey, isn't that the studly star quarterback at my high school? What's he doing with HER?" and then QB-stud responds, gesturing toward me in "wave it off" fashion, "ME? With HER? No way, man! She's gross! I'm just walking next to her because my mom made me! Shut up, man!"
So sad for Condi. Still looking for a man, still coming up all lemons.
Gurn.
PSP, if you were a girl I'd take you to Canada and marry you.
