War Criminals Make Bad Paintings... Just Like Us!

Oh, hello! Sorry about the lack of posts; I just didn't feel like writing about fast food chicken sandwiches or the Olympics™®, and since that's the only thing worth writing about, alas, dang, etc.

Anyway! I almost don't have to write this post either, because it seems like I've kind of written it before. But I'm afraid it is my sad duty to report that, once again, an evil conservative politico has taken brush in hand and now fancies himself to be an artiste. Quel horreur!

This time it's Paul Bremer, the Iraqi War greed pig, and once again the paintings are strikingly bad. Just look at his website!

I guess I could say, "Don't quit your day job" to Mr. Bremer, but I suppose the world is better off with a terrible Hopper wannabe than with... well, Paul Bremer.

Vermont cheeses... I'm feeling ill before such lame images! I'm just thinking of the talented non-former war criminals (and lobbyists) who create art worth seeing, but which goes unseen by many.

On the other hand, I think of the veterans who would (or perhaps do) create art filled with dark imagery and anger for what Bremer and others have done unto them.

"I suppose the world is better off with a terrible Hopper wannabe than with... well, Paul Bremer" is wisdom indeed. Let's think of it as Art Therapy for War Criminals Who Have Just Had Enuf.

Okay, who's first with the comment about how Hitler was a failed painter? Sorry, just sayin'.

Is this what Hannah Arendt meant by the "Banality of Easel"?

Vermont would like to file a formal objection to the defiling of its cheeses.

I bet these were put on display in Abu Ghraib. To torture people.

Those things are worse than a lot of the forged comics you've posted!
