Irish Politicians Have Fashion Disasters, Too, Just Like Us!

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, flanked by Northern Ireland's First Minister Peter Robinson, left, and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuiness, right, walk toward the Treaty Room of the State Department in Washington, Monday, March 19, 2012, prior to their meeitng. I really don't pay much attention to the State Dept. since Condi left. It was, like, that's totally enough of that.

But this picture from Hillary's day jumped out at me this afternoon. Hillary looks fine, maybe a little frowsy, but she wearing a fab ultra-nubby blue tweed coat matched nicely with some expensive-looking lapis jewelry. And thank goodness she got rid of that ridiculous flip hairdo.

No, my problem is with First Minister Robinson. What on earth is he wearing? This is so bad:

I'm going to be charitable and assume that he's still hung over from St. Patrick's day.

Oh, Hilary. The outfit is fine. I wish she did something else with her hair, though.

He probably got the idea from American television. I think I saw the same suit on Growing Up Gotti.

I think he took the French Cut/Hermés style dress shirt. (white collar, horizontal stripes and decided to try a “11” (a la Spinal tap) the whole point of a striped dress shirt like that is be subtle in a color scream fest. His tie could had passed without the Hermes/Ungaro tie, (He probably spent too much time at the Hermes shop in Paris) if it was without the pattern and just one simple tie.

Anyway, one’s fashion sense gets off kilter when your wife was banging a 18 year old. (I think he is the guy, who’s wife caused a scandal/cause celebre with her affair.)

Hillary looks way too butch with her hair slicked back like that. I much prefer her hair to look like she slept on a plane all night, wearing an eye mask with an elastic string that dented her coiffure.
Makes me feel like we taxpayers are getting our money's worth.

I think Secretary Clinton looks much better with hair that frames her face, rather than kept so close to her head. BTW, is that a giant crucifix around her neck?
