All Of The Above?

Foreign outsourcing? That's a new one. "I'm sorry Mrs. Christian, but you're going to have to go to France for your tonsillectomy."

foreign outsourcing: "we don't want to pay for health insurance for US workers, so we're only hiring bangladeshis. in bangladesh. and maybe saipan."

Saipan falls under US federal law. It's our little WWII trophy.

Ah, OK. See, I said earlier that I understood almost nothing about the healthcare debate.

Still, the poll is hilarious, no?

Weird that they would go to foreign countries that provide healthcare to workers... wouldn't that eliminate the cost differential? You know just like the weakening dollar -- which the fundies scream about -- improves our trade imbalance and increases manufacturing in the U.S.

Sometimes the world is opposite what it seems.

Actually, the second answer is the only one that is relevant to the question. One News Now wants everyone to vote for "Reduced health benefits." I think it will use it to claim that "XX% of responders..."

I vote for "people live longer, stay in their jobs longer, so businesses have to pay them more." Never mind about the increased productivity & attendance & better workplace morale.

Boy! What a selection! The accompanying article must be stoopid, too.

More like "increased foreign in-sourcing"

Where would we be (out here in the sticks) without our Asian doctors/pharmacists/technicians and our Phillipino nurses?

Of course, medical transcribing business & diagnosing x-rays/MRIs/Cat Scans, etc will probably increase their foreign outsourcing (they've been doing it for years already).

And, of course, there are those little trips down Mexico way for healthcare & cheaper meds (already taking place).

claims processing is outsourced now, maybe that is what they mean?
