Pssst, Al Franken: Ixnay on the Uppiespay

Al Franken's latest campaign ad is pretty funny! It says that the attacks on him are getting ridiculous, which is true, and it humorously suggests that his opponent questions his stance on adorable puppies... in a line stolen almost word for word from Michael Steele's ads from two years ago. Remember those ads? They were roundly praised as brilliant and effective and... oh, wait, that's right, Steele lost by a landslide.

Long-time readers of this blog know that no matter how delightful puppies are, they are treacherous campaign props. It didn't work for Steele, it didn't work for Rick Santorum, it wouldn't have helped Rudy Giuliani, and it won't work for you, Al Franken.

May I suggest meercats?

Pussy always works better than puppy, but maybe that's just how I see it.

Minnesota elected Jesse Ventura as Governor. Franken will win in a shoo-in.
