Here's Your Gramatically Incorrect Stupid Sarah Palin Rally Sign of the Day

Unless, I guess, they mean only one plumber's daughters. But you know they don't.

Fun fact: PSP's Sparklemom was a plumber's daughter!

UDATE/Correction: One of the plumber's daughters left a comment pointing out that the sign does, indeed, refer to one plumber, so the sign is correct. However, several misunderstandings and a lobbed "elitist" buzzword in the comment reveal that at least one of the plumber's daughters is a complete idiot.

I too am a plumber's daughter!

(Neither me nor said plumber are for Palin, though)

San Francisco columnist Herb Caen had a special label for these sorts of items: The Apostrophe Police.

It is possible that one dedicated plumber unclogging many a m'lady's sink and whatnot, could have sired any number of daughters. Though why they would want to draw attention to that is a puzzle.

Eugene O'Neil's The Iceman Cometh was a cuckolding reference of the early 20th century.
In modern day "Pro-America", apparently, it's now plumbers and, of course, the cable guy.

Dear Sparkle,
Perhaps you should consult a grammar text book. You are obvioulsly a product of govt. schools. We are 3 plumbers daughters. We belong to 1 plumber and 1 m'lady who have been married for 45 years.

Dear Jess Wundrun, ME not for Palin????REALLY??? Ask Sparkle if you can borrow her grammar book!!

A plumber's daughter is actually an idiomatic expression used to describe a sexual device employed to considerable depth by not only the gay and lesbian communities but also by the many unattached sociopathic leeches in Alaska on dark, windy nights when their options are, to say the least, few & far between!

"gosarahgo," thank you for confirming your total retardation.

Dear "Princess Sparkle Pony",
I am very happy to know that my sign caught your attention. My father, the plumber, has three daughters. (That is plural by the way, not possessive. I thought I should note that since you seem to be easily confused by such things.)

... and to Steve,
There is no shame in being the daughter of a plumber. I trust your elitist views will serve you well the next time your sewer backs up.

God, you're such an idiot. Did I not say in the post that I'm a plumber's grandson? Sheesh.

However, I will note that the sign is, apparently, grammatically correct since you are indeed referring to one plumber. See? I'll correct an error and admit I was wrong, unlike certain serial-liar Republican vice presidential candidates.

Where did I confuse that daughters was plural and not possessive?

I love the fact that the comment suggesting PSP should consult a grammar textbook contains a grammatical error!

-Not that Jenny.

1. The sign is grammatically incorrect.
2. All this talk about plumbers is ironic, considering that Joe the Plumber is not a licensed plumber.
3. Pony, what's with all the idiots cropping up lately in your comments section?
4. :D

I know, Karen, I've been mostly deleting them. But the sign is grammatically correct, and it was a fair correction.

Not to put a bee in Jenny's bonnet, but the sign is (if not grammatically incorrect) somewhat misleading, unless all three of them are there beneath the sign. Or is she three in one person?
