Doppelgänger

Republican vice-presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin, right, poses for a photo with Patti Burghy of St. Clairsville at a rally at Brush Run Park near St. Clairsville, Ohio, Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008 (AP Photo/The Intelligencer, Scott McCloskey)

Ha! Don't you believe that caption! I know exactly what's going on here: Palin and McCain have been fooling around with time travel in their ham-handed attempts to bring back old-school racists from the past (like that Obama monkey guy) to support their cause. As a result, the space-time continuum is in tatters, and Sarah came face-to-face with herself from five years in the future. How mortifying! Put on your brave face, Sarah, because eventually the universe will correct itself.

Perhaps that's just Sarah's Maxi-me.

Is it too late for McCain to switch to runningmate Patti Burghy?

Wow.

Kudos on including the oft-neglected umlaut!

Patti Burghy... reminds me of a very long, childish joke about a school bus driven by a guy named Big Mac.

I thought it was before and after Jenny Craig.

Palin looks a little tense pretending that she's cool with the pie-faced woman who thinks they bear a resemblance.
It's all in the eyes.

Sarah Palin and the ghost of Christmas yet to come.

Whoa, Sarah--looks like it's gonna be a rough five years, whether she's living them in DC (god forbid) or back in Wafflila, AK.

What Karen said. She definitely has the expression of someone who's been told that she resembles someone unattractive.

Since the most unoffensive comparison I receive is to Anthony Edwards, I know whereof I speak.

She stands forewarned.

sigh. I have to admit, once a waiter told my husband he looked like Webster Hubbell.

totally not true... at least not very much.
