Forget Africa, this week it's Asia! So far it's kinda a dour affair for Dr. Ferragamo, but after last week's extravaganza, I've got high hopes. It's a new Condiweek! And that means, among other things, a new Condi Roundup will be up at Wonkette at some point today. Hooray!

Dour, nothing! She's in fur and it's fabulous! Screw those PETA party poopers!

Actually, when it comes to screwing PETA, I think Condi might enjoy some quiet time with Pam Anderson or Pink or Celina Jaitley. You know, if the Secret Service could clear them and they had all their shots.

Nothing long term, just some happy "I hate you" sex to relieve the dull stretches of the next long weekend.

Rove, Hughes, etc. went back to Texas; Condi's way of staying out of town is to go on foreign trips, even though she accomplishes nothing during these pointless peregrinations except spend taxpayers' money and waste jet fuel.

I think she should be forced to start entertaining us on these expensive junkets by wearing the hats of each nation she visits.
I can really see her in the fez the guy in front of her has on.

Karen, I wholeheartedly agree. Condi of many nations! Yay!

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I'm only now discovering this blog. From now on I'm linking all Condi references here. You're awesome.

Is it just the lighting, or is that gray in Condi's hair? If so, does that raise the alert level?

Re the hat in front of her: I don't think it's a fez, but one of those hats worn in Pakistan/India/Afghanistan that I can't think of the name of. I usually call it the "fast food worker" hat.

Meanwhile, not even the State Department, on its site devoted to the Secretary's travels, can keep up with Condi's endless gas-gobbling, meaningless journeys:

"As Secretary of State:
Total Travel Time: 1478.05 hours (61.59 days)
Total Countries Visited: 66
Countries Visited and Mileage: 2005 | 2006 | 2007
Figures as of December 10, 2007. [my emphasis]"

Dear boy, when I first discovered Princess Sparkle Pony, I stayed up all night and read the entire archives section, laughing all the way.
Then I called my big sister and she did the same thing.

Mary Tyler Condi: Who can turn the world on with my frown? Who can take a nothing foreign trip, and suddenly make it all seem not worthwhile? Well it's me girl, and you should know it. With each glance and every little shuttle diplomacy I show it...blah blah blah...I'm gonna make it back to Stanford, after all.

@cynica: It's probably the lighting and a little gray returning at her roots. Occasionally, she'll let her hair gray just a little before she gets it dyed/colored. I suppose the light-tinged graying at the roots occurs when she can't get to hair stylist because of her busy, non-productive traveling schedule.

I would love it if she would let her hair gray. There are a few pictures of her with minimally graying hair. She does look her age when it is gray as opposed to her 30ish to 40ish look without the gray.

It's difficult to tell her age from photos because her photos appear to be airbrushed. She looks younger and thinner at 53 than she did when she was in her early 30s at Stanford.

I think they really are airbrushing her pics, because the skin looks better lately.

Also--the caption says they're "participating" in this inauguration. Huh? They're just scowling! Is that her diplomatic participation?
