Condi Inspires New-Fangled Hebrew Pejorative

Pony Pal™ Breonne directed my wandering gaze to this article in today's New York Times. In it, Steve Erlanger mostly writes about how Condi's always doing things, but never really getting anything done. We've discussed this once or twice on this blog! Sometimes I get a little frustrated that others don't talk about this more! The article reveals, though, that the clever Israelis have worked this fact into the very core of their language:

The long buildup to Annapolis, together with Ms. Rice’s many trips to the region, have given birth to a new verb in Israeli government circles: “lecondel,” meaning, to come and go for meetings that produce few results. The word is based on Ms. Rice’s first name.

Neato, Condi! That's a cool cornerstone upon which to build your glittery legacy! Yay!

first she is an oil tanker, now she is a word, what next --- a model for a pair of shoes or perhaps a play on broadway - Lecondel on The Roof!

To Life, to Life
Lecondel
Lecondel, Lecondel
To Life

All day long I'd biddy-biddy-bum
If I were lecondel, man.
I wouldn't have to work hard,
Daidle deedle daidle
Daidle daidle deedle daidle dum
If I were a biddy-biddy bitch,
Daidle deedle daidle daidle Con.

Oh, karenzipdrive, you made me laugh diet coke out of my nose! Now that tune just won't leave my head.
Between you and distributorcap I'm afraid it's going to be Lecondle on the Roof in my house all day.

Zippy, you rock.

Sunrise, sunset, it's lecondel.

I'm sure Dr. Shoes is feeling blessed and humbled by this honor. Perhaps we'll get matching armchair opps even more often!
