Nice donut! The sprinkles really add a certain... je ne sais quoi...

Have you been to The Weekly Donut.org? Inspiring.

The woman in the portrait appears to have averted her eyes from the donut, but you can tell that secretly she wants it.

I should probably say something about that picture: it's a real Rembrandt, and although it's a silly photograph, I was very, very careful (and supervised) while taking it.

Though I've been reading Artforum for decades, I cannot make art-historical sense of the juxtaposition that is jimmied donut and the work of Rembradt van Rijn. Quick somebody, call Kurt "High/Low" Varnedoe for an interpretation.

Wait a minute; isn't he dead?

Or perhaps, like the donut in all of us, merely stunned to pallor by the evil veto.

Why psychedelic sprinkles rather than a muted chocolate or butterscotch glaze which would have been slightly more Rembrandtesque? Ah, the mysteries of Great Art.

When I was alone in a room with a Raphael, I almost cried. (ok I did cry). I have no idea what I would do in that room with a donut and a Rembrandt.

I love the sprinkles and the color. I know the light in that room isn't the best, so it would be hard to take a better shot, but I think if you could ever get a crisper focus it would be true art, and I mean that seriously. You should start a series of junk food vs. food for the soul.

OMG!! Wisteria!! Satan Shrub! Satan Shrub! I had one of those at my old house in Stepford and it grew and grew and grew. You could see it working to take over the yard overnight.

Zipdrive here...

Are you left handed?
That must have been a very hard shot to take.
And just looking at the donut made my glucose level jump.

The portrait says Rembrandt, but the donut says Pollock.

Pollock? No, Seurat.

Move the donut in front of her face and it becomes a Rene Magritte

(the art buffs come out for the donut!)

I'm sorry, Princess, but I don't see the Virgin Mary in the sprinkles. Then again, I've never been able to see the spaceship in those 3-D art thingamajigs.

This could be an under-detected genetic eyesight flaw, like red-green color blindness. The inability to see the Virgin Mary in foodstuffs could also be related to not being brought up Catholic.

What lovely hands for a pony. do you use palmolive?

What? I'm soaking in it? Why thank you.

---Matty, you can SO pass for brought up catholic! And I mean that in the best fallen away brought up catholic sense.

No. Wait. It's the donut.

That's some donut.

Sometimes a donut is just a donut.
This is not one of those times.
