Bloodthirsty Democrats Won't Let a Little Thing Like Amniotic Stem Cells Interfere with Their Baby-Killing Agenda

OMG, I don't think I'll ever stop loving Agape Press and their sugar daddies, the Family Research Council. The potential usefulness of amniotic stem cells is something everybody can be happy about, but he FRC isn't buying it:
Democrats in Congress who support [embryonic stem cell research] are not really interested in helping patients, [FRC life sciences fellow David] Prentice contends; he believes these lawmakers' simply want to push studies and clinical trials that result in the destruction of human embryos. House Democrats are set to pass legislation Wednesday that would expand federal funding of embryonic stem-cell research.
I would love to comment on the sensational lack of logic behind that statement, but I've just GOT to go out and kill some babies. I'm totally behind on my quota.

That's a beautiful photo of Sarracenia infantalis you have there.

I wish mine grew as well, but I just can't seem to get good baby stock these days. I'm hoping that will change now with the Democratic victory.

That *is* illogical! If we killed all the babies, who would we have left to turn gay?

I think gregg is onto something... let's use potentially gay or terrorist or left wing godless democrat fetuses for stem cell. no no no that will never do, because then we'd be cloning gay, democratic terrorists. let me think on this for awhile...

i wish i could say somethang humorous about these horrible amniotic stem cells but i cant, they are truly macabre and only the misogynist hitler pope could come running out and embrace them.

nasty hierarchal catholics love anythang that invades wimmen folk and these nasty amniotic stem cells involve poking a pregnant women tummy and drawing out fluid and then trying to find dead cells floating around and then trying to make them grow and pretend they are pluripotent, which is disgusting and self delusional crap.

also the guy atala, the scientist name apparently, says they was donated cells, donated by whom, we wish to know, drug addicts or what.

my god, so many damn thangs wrong with poking women in the stomach to get a few exfoliated dead cells.

only the mad hitler pope could like it, its disgusting.

bone marrow and umbilical cord blood cells still the best cells for me, thas all.

I am not a mikey fox fan and shaking while I attest for embryonic cells from those lil frozen babies yearning couples leave in their gyn's frozen nitro vats, but amnio cells are disgusting, totally.

just creepy, delusional and disgusting.

thas all.

yuck.

in my other life i am called dimpled tuchas, but ya understand the name change, doncher

bye bye

I clicked on the "Click for Larger" button, and I have to say that the saffron/goldenrod background makes the picture much creepier than the white background here on the blog.

White background?

Woah, someone needs to adjust their monitor. PSP should have a much more fabulous Geek Squad to visit all our homes, adjusting monitors and making general comments about our interior decorating skills or lack thereof. They'd tool around in little pink convertibles or something.

Little pink Nash Metropolitans!

Didn't mean to step on any toes, or in the case of the Princess, any hooves. I see now the pinkish hue of even the lightest colored regions of the background.

That said, the goldenrod background does add to the creepiness.

I don't understand one thing about this whole debate - and maybe someone here can enlighten me...

WHY does everyone insist on using aborted fetuses for stem cell research? What about cord blood and the cord itself? What about any number of other possible sources for stem cells?

I don't oppose the research. What I oppose, is creating a death industry. God knows that in the US, people will make a buck on anything that they are allowed to, ethics be damned. Lobbying ensures that a thing can be cultivated to critical mass. We would do well not to lose sight of that, lest we go to extremes.

We don't need to bring any Bible into this. It's just a capitalist complex run amok. Making money is good. Making money with no regard for anything but the sake of, is VERY BAD.
