Dressed in traditional 'ao dai,' Japanese Prime Minister Shintaro Abe, front row left, walks past U.S. President Geroge W. Bush, top left, and Russian President Vladimir Putin as the leaders of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) gather for the joint declaration in Hanoi Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006. (AP Photo/Japan Pool)Damn those Vietnamese shopkeepers! This would never happen in Washington. Tsk. Also, where was Condi? Alas, I guess this was a boys-only affair. (Update: no it wasn't; see below.)
UPDATE: Wonkette has an awe-inspiring gallery roundup.

John Howard was wearing the same dress too. Oh my, what a huge political gaff!
John looked much more comfortable in his dress though. This could be because he's more used to the traditions in Australasia, he is more secure in his masculinity and dosen't care if the world sees him in a dress, or he knew it looked fabulous on him.
Is it just me or does it look like George might be wearing a bullet proof vest under there? or is that just his beer-gut?
OMG! That fabric would be awesome as drapery in Nancy Pelosi's new office. Halt the fabric swatch search and call Laura Bush, we *must* get our hands on that fabric!
They all look strangely like Zippy the Pinhead.
I KNEW IT!!!
The world is run by a group of "Mr. Wizards."
(yes yes, I am PURPOSEFULLY being 'culturally insensitive' in regards to the robes---come to my house and bite me, OK?).
---"Mr. Wizard, Mr. Wizard, are you gonna drop a magic gold star on Iran?"
---"Mr. Wizard, Mr. Wizard, can Dicky Cheney come over to my house to play with my Nuclear Barbie 'n Ken?"
I thought hospital gowns were open in the back.
Shintaro can't control his laughter at they joke he's playing.
Putin is starting to put one and two together.
Bush is enjoying the breeze.
OMG, does this ao dai make me look fat?
I always knew this was part of some New World Order Homoerotic straight man kind of gathering. Oh yes, they love them womenfolk, but for some pleasures, a blue silken caftan and a real man are needed.
I am strangely and disturbingly now reminded of an image of Merv Griffin in a caftan. I must stop now.
Franonymous
Obviously another tentacle of the Homosexual Agenda.
Pray for our nation!
"Help, Mr. Wizard, I don't want to be a president anymore!"
Those pix on wonkette look like something out of a bad production of gilbert & sullivan.
Oh for the glory of Kiss me Kate!
Bush's Kevlar is lumpy in front because that's where he keeps his juice boxes and fruit rollups.
Putin and his regime are cold blooded killers and they should be tried for their crimes and banished from society altogether. Alex Litvinenko knew who his murderer was. He had the courage to speak the truth and speak out against their crimes so they took his life to silence him.
What they did to Alex Litvinenko was the epitome of barbarism. Sadly, they won't stop with just him. They will continue boldly on--murdering whoever, however, and whenever it suits them. They have no conscience or respect for life in general and they should be brought to a court of justice immediately.
