In the gusty winds, U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice arrives at Haneda Tokyo International Airport Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006. Rice is in Japan on a four-nation tour to discuss how to enforce the U.N. sanctions against North Korea over its nuclear test, approved Saturday. Rice is scheduled to visit South Korea , China and Russia after visiting Japan. (AP Photo/Shuji Kajiyama)I like how the Associated Press feels a need to mention the "gusty winds", just in case anybody thought Condi had adopted a particularly unfortunate new coiffure. Don't worry, though, because the hairdo was quickly repaired, as you'll see below. But, yes, Condi's Asian Adventure has begun! Woohoo! And her reacharound for Japan was immediately rewarded with a superb if ostentatious matching armchair photo-op:

For one moment I thought she may have opted for a strange mohawk/flock of seagulls haircut, alas it was just the wind.
Those orientals, they do such wonderful things with flowers!
Good friggin lord thats nasty..I mean seriously..she must be suicidal over that top pic.
But she did suck it up and deal as witnessed by the lower pic..bitch.
All that air travel. She oughta consider dreds.
So much for the small, tasteful flower arrangement parameter. It's "Ikebana Gone Wild!"
I love that table it's on though.
How many mikes in the flowers?
Whoa, didn't they get the memo about the flowers never being larger than the table they sit on?
Ummm how does that -not- consitiute an elevations of their hairdo alert?!?!
I'm with PPT above, no change in the Alert level?
PwapVt
Oh! Sorry... well, it would have, but by the time the photo was released, subsequent photos already showed the hairdo repaired, so it was a purely momentary hairdo setback, and no change in the Hairdo Alert Status was warrented.
