(AP Photo/Coutesy of the Rice Family)I'd be remiss if I didn't pass along these photos of our beloved ambassador of luv and her mother, released to accompany this

So anyway, I pass these things along; do with them what you will.
This boggles the fucking mind. A cute little black girl grows up to be a rightwing idealogue.
This is truly Bizarro World.
How did their eyes get so far apart? You could park a Volvo between the mom's, at least in her Eartha Kitt pose.
Damn she does look like Eartha in that second one...trippy.
Black people tend to have eyes that are wide apart (can you remember Moesha). My eyes are far apart and its the same with the rest of my fam.
Is that my imagination, or does that sofa in the second pic have plastic covering it? LOL I can hear it now, "Condi, tell your friends to stay off the living room furniture, we have to keep it nice for company."
Condi's actions as an adult deserve all the scrutiny and snark they receive.
She was a luck and happy little girl, due to the love and care of her parents, and I am happy that they have snapshots to remind them of less troubled times.
We probably didn't have plastic over OUR sofa because we had a separate play room for the kids where if the kool-aid was spilled it was okay.
Stop it! Allow yourself a minute for appreciating every parent's dream--a better life for their children. I notice that they gave Condi the ee that Angelina never had.
I never noticed that trait among black people. Thanks for pointing it out.
Now those are some sweet pictures. Dad looks a little dour, but Mom and Condi are obviously close.
I'm with Old Sow and Lulu Maude on this one. But I still think you're the best Princess ever.
Keep up the good work.
One question that only you in al the world could possibly answer: Condi clearly has not spent an overweight day in her life, but when did she become the anorexic-like waif that we know and love today?
I looove you.
1. Rice was a very chubby child, hence the obssesion w/ losing it.
2. She is the uglier part of the family. Saw her cous' and much better but with the same 'I-am-not-part-of-working-class-or-black-history-or-anything-else'
creepy approach to the whole thing. The Cous had to reinforce the fact that 7 of them speak russian fluently (which is kind of weird because it is a really difficult language) and that they all are MIDDLE class.
3. Rice being chubby told by cous at a award ceremony.
the eartha kitt comment almost got me fired... hahaha
That 7 members of the family speak Russian is weird, nyet?
Russian is such a USEFUL language in today's diplomatic struggles.
Bush can really pick the experts, can't he?
Draft dodgers running the war and a Russian-speaking ice skater running diplomacy in the Middle East.
Hell, at this rate, I should apply as the NFL Commissioner.
Holy shit that is plastic on the sofa..I thought my grandma was the only person in the real world that did that..
Chuby child? The photographic evidence above says different.
Regardless, the point is that as an adult in her 30's and 40's, Condi at one time was at a slender but healthy weight; now, starting sometime in the past few years, she's way down.
When, exactly? And, why?
Re: the "useful" Russian comment. Well, it's only one of the UN official languages, as well as the official language of at least four countries (including Russia itself, a major geopolitical rival/player) and spoken by something like 280 million people.
It IS a very difficult language though, and there are some who say her Russian isn't actually that great.
Just a thought.
I actualy think that she and her parents look pretty nice in those pictures, and you kids should have more respect for others including people that you probably know nothing about and you should refrain from using such profound langauge.

Oh, look at the Condi Rice dollbaby. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. The devil is a fallen angel? Isn't that what they say? She's a precious little devil, too.
BTW, I think if I kept myself as mired in shit as Rice does, I'd also lose my appetite. OOPS, sorry Mr. J.G.--14. Sincerely! I just love language, especially profound language. I agree with you on one major thing, though, they do look like an adorable family. I bet they had great get-togethers, too, with lots and lots of piano jazz.
Finally, in defense of Russian. I do not speak it, nor do I understand it, but of the limited Russian literature I have read, I enjoy all of it. So, I figure, it must be a very expressive tongue.
The parents of Condoleezza Rice were loving, accomplished and very well intentioned.
However, in their quest to ensure that Ms. Rice had the best possible education that they could offer her, they left out something very important - deep knowledge respect for universal human rights that goes beyond an individualist perspective. It is the lack of this vital component that accounts in part for Ms. Rice's turn to narrow careerism, self aggrandizement, and a political career whose hallmark was a willingness to work for a presidential administration that sent this nation into a destructive and unnecessary war based on lies.
