I resisted posting this, because I thought, OMG, what an unacceptably shallow observation to make! But then I realized that this blog's entire raison d'ĂȘtre is to make shallow observations, so with no small amount of embarrassment, I'll go ahead and make it.
And, well, in for a penny, in for a pound:

I had similar shallow feelings when I saw this picture. I was thinking about movies made about real life stories and how the actors are always much prettier than the people they portray.
It's not a given that someone will make a movie about this guy, but if so, they will be hard pressed to find an actor prettier than this.
you. rock.
Quite possibly the best blog post title ever.
Only you could go there, Peteykins. I thought of the phrase "the banality of evil," but you kicked it right.
I LOVE this blog.

Evil Pops Its Collar totally has to be the name of an awesome synthpop band!
Alarming.
As pretty as he is, those eyes creep me out! This was a remarkable post, Peter. I love that you're willing to go in uncomfortable directions.
Not to defend brand loyalty or Ralph Lauren, but that is a Lacoste sweater, he is wearing in that photo..
I guess Dolce & Gabanna is only worn by pimps, not spree killers...
Petey-
I think your observation is brilliant. Isn't he the ultimate in Polo Ralph Lauren models?
But let's hope the lawyers at Ralph Lauren never get wind of this post. Couldn't they potentially sue you for putting their brand on the picture of a nazi psycho-killer such as this? Even though this is a parody hairdresser blog, hairdressers are one of their target markets, no?
See Hustler Magazine v. Falwell, RandyH.
Funny, whenever I see people with popped collars I a experience a latent urge to reach for a fully automatic, laser-sighted twit-killer. But this passes.
This guy looks amazingly like Rutger Hauer in the Soldier of Orange era.
He's not quite so popped or pretty in this uncredited photo from this morning's story on the Beeb - http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/54258000/jpg/_54258913_012530327-1.jpg
Matty Boy nailed it. The guy looks like Arthur of the (evil right-wing) round table or something.
I'm intrigued by your stated blog's raison d'etre, shallow observations. It does that but yet reveals depth. Like ripples on a lake reflecting the bathymetry.
No, too heady a metaphor. You write of tour bus paint but it just illuminates where to find warps in the underlining steel in the chassis of society? Argh, worse, horrible! See, you do this much better, Sparkle Blog!
I think it was Simon Cowell or one of the American Idol judges once told Conan O'Brien that the people who showed up for auditions but couldn't sing and had only sang in the shower always had this haunting look of madness in their eyes, like "oh cool I'm here now where are my million$"
and because no one ever needs a reason to sleep at night anyway, after watching a couple episodes of that crapgasm of a TV show I noticed that every psycho killer has the same somewhat sated, hollow look.
You can tell he's evil, not because (merely) of the popped collar.
But only someone who has sold his soul to the Devil would voluntarily wear that kind of "facial hair."
(Seriously, WTH is that? It's not a soul patch or soul line, not a goatee. It's like two hairy spider legs creeping up from under his chin.)
Word on the street is this fellow has had a lot of plastic surgery to make his look even more 'Aryan'
