I congratulated Arizona Republicans for waging a successful war against the Mexicans they hate so much. "The obvious next step," I wrote, "is "English-only" legislation (
again). It's only a matter of time. Jan Brewer's pen is poised and waiting!" Was I just trying to be funny? No, that was a prediction, one given with utmost confidence. A prediction which
has now come true.

Ya know, Don Shooter (great AZ GOP name!) is on to something. This can't possibly be about Spanish! I mean, can you imagine the total Arizonian chaos that would ensue if Russian and or Swahili were allowed to be used in "official" conversations! Or (gasp)... German or Italian?

My favorite is when people complain about having to "press 1 for english."
