This Is Arizona: Scorpion, Sparkle

Photos by A.C. Huestis. Click for larger versions.

Obviously I love any business with "Sparkle" in the name:

Related: vintage Sparkle Cleaners hanger art at the failed PSP replacement blog. I wonder if they still use the same design?

Wow... that's a pretty shocking article. Recommended.

Please publicize this!

This same guy refers to Hispanics as "taco Flippers" on his radio show and wants to make the public library 'pay to play'.

He also had the census banner that was in Spanish taken down because it 'didn't reflect Prescott' and this guy is on city council.

I appreciate the tip. What a depressing story.

I love the fact that the vintage (I'm assuming) sign has a web address listed on it, directing you to get coupons, which you used to cut out of a newspaper.

Old media, meet the new media!

Apropos of nothing, did you know that scorpions glow in UV light?

That's almost sparkly right there.

Right, Jason. My parents have a handy one for my nephews and niece to use for nighttime scorpion hunts. Fun! Startling!
