Oh, Hey, Look At That

OK, ha, so I've been fooling around with a new custom look for PSP by playing with Blogger's new template designer thingee. Finally, this evening, I thought, eh, what the hell and clicked the "apply" button. So there you go. It actually ended up looking totally different from the preview, and better, so that was a pleasant surprise.

The main advantage of this design is BIGGER PICTURES (see the post below and compare!), so please consider this a mitigating factor before you rip the blog's new wardrobe to shreds.

Well, as we all know, bigger is better, so you have the Padre Mickey seal of approval, for what it's worth.

I love it too, and I'm very glad you kept the pink.

I love it! I must have missed this theme in my experiments, but I am sure I will eventually get around to trying it out on one of my blogs. Change is good, right?

Me likee. This is a more joyous pink... the other one seemed somber, for pink. I like the Barbie bubble... that is truly one of you most enduring image memes.

I like it! And I definitely like having the screaming barbie back.

The bubbles remind me of Wonder Bread, though the color scheme is completely different.

An a font with serifs! The changes are subtle but dizzying.

I like it.

Bubbly! Sparkly!

Love it!

The bubbles tickle my nose when I scroll fast.

The serif body copy was a surprise because you are definitely a san serif kinda guy, but as long as that iconic crying Barbie-like dollface is still there, I'm good.

Yes, I increased the font size a little and changed it to Times New Roman. I should have made that change a long time ago; it's more readable.

Thanks for the comments! Nobody seems to be too grossed out so far.

The first thing I thought of, like Matty, was Wonder Bread - great pop icon. Then I thought of a Shirley Temple. Fantastic!!!

It's directly modeled on Wonder Bread, which I've been using on peteykins.com for a couple of years now.

Love the new look. Hate Times New Roman.

In love with screaming barbie and the bubbles.

Bigger pix, font easier on the eyes.

You have chosen... wisely.

(You make me want to fix up my own blog).

Still a bit gloomy, but much less depressing than the old one.

It kinda makes my heart race like I ate too much sugar an hour ago and am now enduring a serious crash. I've come and gone from the page three times today and it had exactly the effect each time. Is it just me?
Beyond all that, it's certainly fizzy lifting drink inspired.
