Like many of my colleagues at the National Gallery of Art, I started in the bookstore/gift shop. I think that was long ago enough that I can admit that sometimes I would get bored behind the register and draw stupid gag cartoons all day. Here are a few I saved from one slow Monday in probably 2001:

I have some more of these, and they're funnier, but they're funnier in a "you're fired" kind of way, so I'm afraid they'll have to wait.

Me too, me too! There really should be a "Bad Curator" comic - it would do so much good for those of us in the trenches.
