(Advertisement at Metro station)
Pony Pal™/coworker Adam and I recently had a discussion about, OMG, there are things about being a hairdresser that non-hairdressers just don't even know about.
But then again, seeing the above advertisement made me realize that the opposite is true, too.
And I can't quite put my finger on it, but that ad just fills me with dread and sadness. It seriously almost makes me feel nauseated. And I guess this is supposed to be evidence that Mr. Baisden is wise or something.
It's the kind of thing that always makes me think of this classic moment from John Waters' Female Trouble:

I share your dread. Hey, let's train everyone to be super jealous and not trust the people closest to them! Yay!
Oy, Edith Massey's teeth make me think of Madonna in 10 years.
Edith Massey, I love you!
Dehumanization continues apace as we become more numerous, less valuable, and 'conveniences' like the brain dead Twitter abound. The poster reminds me of the recent wave of 'news' articles describing how fat people are so expensive for the medical system. Like the poster it becomes insidious 'conventional wisdom'. Oh by the way if you're different you probably don't support the troops. yeah, i feel a little short of breath.
I want to tell that ad, and how many others, to shut the fuck up, fuck off and die, stop your endless fucking invasion and pollution of life, fuck you.
I do this all the time in my head anyway.
Awesome clip!
It's just so smug.
MICHAEL BAISDEN
"Dipshits call me."
The Egg Lady! Yay!
Yeah, it's a wretched paradigm for human relationships, but nothing that isn't transmitted subliminally and overtly through every social interaction every fucking day. Let's all be cowed by our most primal feelings - like knee-jerk "jealousy" - and never drag them out into the light to examine them.
What a hideous person, not only fomenting craziness but being incredulous that someone would question his wisdom. I can only hope that the "girl" was smart enough to tell this guy to shut up.
Best screen grab EVAH! The subtitle reads, "I would be proud if I were gay." And so would I!
huh? there's a poster available? whaaaa/ cafepress??!?!?!
That guy has eyes so close together he looks like Bob Crane. Ewww.
