Gross-Out of the Year (So Far)

(Gov. Sarah Palin last week at a signing event, for legislation and other items, in the village of McGrath, Alaska. Jim Wilson/The New York Times)

Oh, right, hey! I almost forgot I had a blog!

The NY Times has a great Sarah Roundup today about the events which brought about her resignation. I simply had to share the above photo, an absolutely superb gross-out featuring Sarah autographing a disabled child. You're welcome.

The article is very good and quite even-handed, probably more than clown-like Sarah deserves. All you have to do is read between the lines, however, to catch glimpses of truly the most bizarre political character since... well, since Condoleezza Rice (remember her?)

The Sarah Show is going to continue indefinitely, with growing ratings yet decreasing returns. All we can do is sit back, slack-jawed in wonder, and enjoy the garish spectacle.

Areb you sure that child even was disabled before Saint Sarah got ahold of him/her? She said the world needs more "Trigs."

The NYT piece has some interesting news nuggets. One is that a key AK health official was fired right before the swine flu hit because said official wasn't supportive enough of a Palin-sponsored parental-notification bill. (Guess what parents need to be notified about.) Another is that the E.D. of the Republican Governors Association flew up to AK at one point to try to calm the Self-Immolator down and get her to manage things better. As we all know, it didn't work.

And we were worried that when Condi left office we wouldn't have anything to talk about!

That top really doesn't work very well, does it? Is that the same thing she was wearing in the supermarket carrying Trig back before she was nominated for VP? That picture was terrifying.

I think pink is a good color for her, but not that thing.

Sad thing is they're never going to wash that baby. Probably have it shellacked.

Please let her get a "reality" show. Oh, please, please.

Who the hell would hold a toddler with her neck hyper-extended like that?
And who besides Palin would autograph a freakin' baby?
Creepy, man.

It's like that photo on Huffypost of the English "Orgasms for Students" project.

I get a very Michael Jackson baby dangling feel from this.

Creepy.

The beloved country has gone completely mad.

Get "real," and get with Sarah, so we can go on our way to the apocalypse.

Lemmings of the world, unite!

I feel the need to clarify a few things in your post. First of all, I live in McGrath, Alaska. I know the little girl in question. I will not say her name for fear that her parents may find the horrible comments being made about their daughter. But let me just say that she DOES have Down's Syndrome and I also have more pictures of Sarah interacting with her. The baby, in fact, loved Sarah. I was there. I saw with my own eyes. If you're so inclined, I will be happy to send you photos of Sarah's other interactions with the same child. Clearly, this is leftist media at its finest. I met the NYTimes reporter and he was a wolf in sheep's clothing. I used to have faith in the media (heck, I didn't even vote for Sarah) but now that I'm witness to the absolute slander, I am disheartened. I now know, that there is a very real story behind every slanderous piece of work out there. Bottom line: If Sarah were a Democrat, this article would have said something completely different.

Who said horrible things about the little girl? I certainly didn't. In fact, I just re-read all the comments and can't find a single critical word about the child.

And how was the NY Times photographer a "wolf in sheep's clothing" by taking the photograph?

Just like Sarah, your perception of the demon MSM is a little... wacky.

I think Chrissy thinks that this is a NEWS site! Bless...

Holy mackerel!
The question for Crissy is, what kind of sick fuck politician would autograph a Down Syndrome baby??
Oh, and Crissy, slander is spoken and libel is written.
And both are predicated upon lies, and it's no lie that Palin autographed a fuckin' baby.
CASE DISMISSED!
