Jindal Gets Book Deal, Will Narrate Life Story to Ghostwriter on Evenings, Weekends, Bank Holidays

Well done, Bobby! Writers, after all, don't have to be "writers" anymore. Regnery Publishing, home of Ann Coulter and political heavy-lifter Chuck Norris, doesn't care about the linguistic skill of Jindal himself; they want the Jindal™ magic, the brand, and now they have it! And the best part is that Bobby barely needs to lift a finger, because Regnery has people who can do that for him:

Jindal said the book will be a mix of biographical material, "lessons I've learned throughout my life" and his thoughts on a range of policy issues.

"I just want to offer my ideas and my experiences to the conversation, " Jindal said.

Much of the work on the book will be done by a co-author, Peter Schweizer, a Florida writer whose previous work includes nonfiction books about the Bush family and President Reagan, and a novel co-authored with former Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger.

"One of the reasons I'm doing this with a co-author is to make sure there's somebody else doing a lot of the heavy lifting, " Jindal said, adding that he expects that most of his work on the book will be in the evenings and on weekends.

"This isn't something that will take a lot of my time, " he said.

It's always so inspirational to hear a writer locked in the throes of obsessive passion over his craft.

Please, please, please, devote at least a quarter of the book to that exorcism he participated in during college.

"lessons I've learned throughout my life."

Excellent! First Meghan, now Bobby, these are going to be the bestest books ever.

W's book will complete the trifecta. I hope all three are done by this summer-I need something to read at the beach.

I feel the urge to say something nice about Bobby Jindal.

...

Wait... it'll come to me.

...

He went with Regnery! This means Bobby Jindal is smarter than Joe the Plumber!

I knew I could come up with something, given enough time.

That bargain table at the book store is gonna start groaning under the weight of all these miserable GOP books coming out.

At least he cops to phoning it in.

I have to say, I am intrigued by the Caspar Weinberger novel. Not intrigued enough to read it, or even google it or anything, of course.

Yeah, I'm going to write a book. It won't take a lot of my time. But I will collect millions anyway. Why are you on welfare? Why do you unemployed people want me to takethe stimulus money? Can't you be paid millions to have someone else write about your experiences and your lessons learned?

Jonah Goldberg, Ann Coulter, Rudy Guil1ani, Megan McCain, Laura Bush, shall we go on?
