New RNC Survey will Tell Them Everything They Want to Hear

Click to take the better, improved survey!

The genius of Michael Steele strikes again! Have you seen their new survey? Do they expect to learn anything from it? Seriously, here's a sample of how the questions are phrased:

1. A recent national poll reported that nearly 25% of Americans want the government to pass more socialism. Do you agree or disagree?

4. Do you oppose so-called "card-check" legislation, which eliminates secret ballot elections during unionization drives and puts workers at risk of intimidation by labor bosses?

5. Should Republicans unite to block new federal government bureaucracy and red tape that will crush future economic growth?

Subtle! Also fascinating: the "Domestic and Social Issues" section, indeed the entire survey, contains not a single, solitary question about abortion or The Gays (although "Pro-Life" is offered as one of the choices for "key strength"). Anyway, the whole thing is so hilarious that it would be pointless to parody it. I mean, More aggressive use of Twitter, LOL. Luckily, I'm in a pointless mood, so here you go.

"Pass more socialism"? Is that like passing kidney stones? Seriously, are there no unemployed writers in DC looking for a gig?

I am praying for the continued success of Michael Steele.
The idea of putting a secret Democratic plant in that position was brilliant!

Card check actually will NOT eliminate secret balloting. It merely allows workers to unionize if 30 percent of card signers say they want to. They can hold a secret ballot after that if they wish, but the legislation is designed to eliminate that "down period" in between card signing and a secret-ballot election, which employers typically have used to intimidate and browbeat employees into voting against the union.

Okay, now that I've gotten that off my chest... am I surprised that Republicans lie?

Shouldn't the first choice for #3 be: Bad Massaging?!?!

How come the submit button does nothing? I had some good answers!

I don't even miss Condi - your blog continues to dazzle.

Looks like the Man of Steele will provide much excitement and fun for all, and as long as there is a GOP party, there'l be laughs - and fashion - and perfectly proportioned little men. And matching wingback chairs!

I agree with Toriko. PSP should publish these results, preferably on RNC stationary.

On the Huffington Post, Steele is quoted as saying he's "through with reaching out to Obama".

Can you technically be "through with" something you have never done? If so, I'm through with speaking Urdu, and I don't care who knows it.

Toriko, jterry - I submitted mine for reals at the GOP survey. Of course I made a point of answering exactly the opposite in all cases, and when I could free-type an answer I made some comment like, "it would be a lot more helpful to the national dialog if you guys were acting like real, thoughtful conservatives instead of brain-dead Christian Capitalist ideologues," or something to that effect.

Matty - I guess that means that Steele is bagging the urban/suburban hip hop marketing plan? Now he can go back to loading up Burl Ives on his iPod.

Other: Budgets without numbers

That's not a survey. That's a reconditioning exercise. Where are the eyedrops and forceps and Ludwig Von?

A 19 page booklet? Maybe that's the Republican secret - they have already patented that magical one-sided sheet of paper!
