Ursula Break!

Austrian Foreign Minister Ursula Plassnik, right, welcomes Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki to the Palestine Ambassador conference in Vienna, Austria on Friday, Nov. 14, 2008. (AP Photo/Hans Punz)

I've been neglecting the wonderful Austrian giantess lately, but just will you look at Ursula last week! So divine. And look how happy al-Maliki is just to be lucky enough to be near her. Oh, Barack, can't you pick Ursula for something?

I love the gorgeous, folksy jacket, and I really love the understated (for Ursula) bolo-style necklace. Superb, Ursula, superb.

Kinda hit-and-run this morning, but I just wanted to post some Ursulalove! Yay!

I must say I like her 'do, she looks wonderful. And only our beloved Austrian diplogiantess could carry off that jacket with such style and grace.

This has changed the tone and tenor of my whole day. Danke schoen!

what? no scarf?

this global economic crisis must be serious if it has filtered out to a shortage of diplo-giantess neckwear.

Hey, isn't that Tom Friedman?

I love the shy and winsome smile! And yet look at the firmness of the handshake, as if to say, "yes, I'm smiling, but I could crush you like a bug if you piss me off. Smile!"

Yes, no scarf. That jacket is fashion statement enough. Lovin' the haircut, as right thinking Pony Pals have already said.

She's just so gigantically girly! Her clothes aren't attempts to feminize what a man would wear, they are brilliant statements of what a woman can wear.

Why should a goddess try to emulate the puny (and mostly male) humans who scurry about her, gazing up in awe? We can't be her, but what a treat being near her would be! Even a picture from far away brightens our day.

Thank you, Princess.

Sigh.

I just noticed the beautiful symmetry of the last three posts-from hideous to divine.

Brilliant PSP, brilliant.

That is such an excellent point! So true.

I wonder if she can feel my love from here.

*tries harder*

She even picked the best al-Maliki. The Iraqi PM, Nouri al-Maliki is a little swarthy, scruffy guy, not like this distinguished-looking gent.

PSP and all, This jacket is an example of Palestinian embroidery, obviously a gift from al-Maliki. I own one like it, and you can pick one up in the Amman, Jordan Airport. Just thought you'd like to know.

We want more Ursula, please. Forget the lame duck secretary.
Can't wait to see Hillary and her giantess together.

Seconding the anon from 7:19. I think the world would be better with a little more Ursula.

...for a second, though, I thought that jacket was just a plain black jacket with a gigantic (even by Ursula standards) scarf. Now that I look at it, though, I'm actually beginning to like it.

Hmmm... reminds me of Gone With The Wind.

Oh, wait, Scarlet made her dress from a recycled curtain, not an oriental rug.

Which reminds me of the Carol Burnett show parody of that scene...

now the question is PSP -- how will Ursula and HILLARY get along! as famously as with Condi?
