Quickie: Krauthammer Announces to Shocked World that He's Still Voting for McCain

And he isn't afraid to bring up Jeremiah Wright, either! Two words glaringly absent from his "contrarian" endorsement which derides Obama mainly for his lack of experience: Sarah and Palin.

Oh that zany Charles!

My favorite line was "I shall have no part of this motley crew. I will go down with the McCain ship. I'd rather lose an election than lose my bearings."

I can see the bubbles as the ship gurgles its way below the surface of the dark and stormy sea...

This is hilarious.

And as you note, curiously Palin-free.

It's amazing that he can write a whole article on possibly the most important election of our times and never once get beyond robotically echoing the basic talking points. Charles Krauthammer, ruminant.

Appreciation for the words of Jeremiah Wright and his accomplishments is something my father and I, two Atheist Jews, will always share. We're glad that the whole thing came up because we found somebody contrary to Americans to identify with for a lot of good reasons.

There are many very unkind names within our Ashkenaz tribe for our landzmanner like Charles Krauthammer. Russian-Jewish post-glasnost call them "Born Again Christians." In Hebrew or Yiddish they are called the "meshumedim" ("traitors" or "apostates"). In Jewish Spanish they're called "Traicioneros" ("traitors") or "Conversos de Mierda" ("Shit-head Converts"). I've also seen kind of a Yiddish/Ladino mix "Kayn nebbishy vaynse" ("Get the fuck out of here, Cohane nerds!").

These kind of politics make the Diasporal community very uncomfortable because of the militarism, the authoritarianism and the willingness to make comnmon cause with Extremist Evangelicals.

I pay neo-cons no mind. They don't exist for me. I've ex-communicated them in my mind long, long ago.

Interesting, but just because you ignore them, it doesn't mean they'll go away.

Talk about closing the barn door after the horses are out. Wow.

As his ship sinks, Kraut grasps for an anchor instead of a life preserver.

Is his prose always like that?

i love that CK won't vote for Obama because he lacks executive experience. but Johnny doesn't have any executive experience either. Once Charles figures this out, I guess he'll have to sit this election out.
