Night of the Living Dead

UPDATE: I keep thinking (and laughing hysterically) about that sensationally awful picture of McCain. Usually the major wire services don't release photos which show momentary, horrible facial expressions (of course, there are wonderful exceptions), so I was surprised Reuters let that one out. Of course, they didn't release it until the morning after the debate, so apparently there was some deliberation over the matter.

But what it comes down to is that this is yet another example of what happens when you spend all your time bashing the "MSM": they have very cruel ways of exacting their revenge, as Newsweek did when they decided not to airbrush Sarah Palin.

So is this an example of photo-gotcha journalism? Unequivocally yes. And it is absolutely intentional. And I love it.

Well this certainly suggests an excellent new career option for the guy once the trouncing is over.

I wonder how much ink it would take to blow that picture up and paste it across my picture window for Halloween? I'm thinking it might be worth it.

You were saying the "air quotes" is what lost the election for McCain. I disagree. "Air Quotes" might get people who were engaged and watching the debate to turn away, but what about all of the people who couldn't care enough to watch the debate?

No, this is the Howard Dean scream moment for McCain because relatively few people will have seen the debate, but everyone will forward the kooky picture of McCain looking like a monster.

Toriko, the photo is, indeed, extremely damaging. It was Yahoo's most viewed and most emailed photo almost immediately after it was posted.

This made the front page of The Arab News this morning Oct.17.

Hysterically not photoshopped.

Regarding the Condi photos, nobody mentioned that they reveal her true Klingon heritage.
