Condi on Top

Condi did the most adorable interview of her entire career recently, with Girl Scout Magazine, and it was just posted on the State Dept. web site for all of us to enjoy. I believe that Cat Fancy is now the only periodical who has yet to interview her. It's cute: be true to yourself, blah blah blah, study hard, etc., etc. And then, at the very end, a tiny insight into her wardrobe philosophy:

QUESTION: What is your favorite color?

SECRETARY RICE: Oh, well, that’s interesting. I love navy blue. I love navy blue. But when I want to feel really on top of things, I wear red. (Laughter.) I wear red because my mother told me once – and this is the thing with age again – when I was younger, I liked to wear pretty muted colors. And my mother said, “When you get to be 35, all of a sudden you’re going to want to wear red.” I had no idea what she meant, but she was right. So when I want to feel really on top of things, I wear red.

So there you have it! When Condi really wants to feel on top of Henry Paulson, she wears red.

Well that interview should be disseminated to and read by the masses!

I loved this line... "...But I’ve been very happy doing international politics, and it’s been really great being Secretary of State."

She's such a happy gal! It's been really totally like great!

Also, I found it curious that in her network of powerful women, later in the interview, she neglects to mention Tzipi and Ursula! Not to mention Sarah Palin!

The nerve!!

She's got her arms crossed because she'd just heard what the GOP spent on Palin's wardrobe.

Is she wearing jodhpurs? The top looks like something Betsy Draper would wear when she goes riding on Mad Men.

I'm sorry, but after the last 8 years, I have a hard time believing that Condi is a top.

Condi truly impresses as one of the brighest girl scouts around. Maybe she'll even be Secretary of State one day!

Oh, I have no problem believing that Condi is a top at all.

Isn't she pretty close in age to the Red Hat group of purple & red wearing broads?
