They Forgot the Pig with Lipstick

Upper Deck has produced a 'Presidential Predictor' trading card of Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin inside its latest baseball release (PRNewsFoto/Upper Deck)

Oh, gosh, I guess you've really made it once you're on a bubblegum card, and it's especially true in this case, because Palin (currently being held in a medieval debate training dungeon) certainly is one Wacky Package! The caricature artist got the maniacal grin just right. Oh, Sarah, you are truly the Rodney Dangerfield of politicians.

I love that some Republicans are griping about Sarah's short leash. "Let her be herself," they cry, to which political satirists and mean-spirited parodists everywhere respond, "Yes, please!"

Yes, let her free. She looks like she's just crammed for
an exam every time someone asks her anything.

She can't be much worse than Biden who thinks
that FDR was president in 1929 (wrong, Hoover) and that
he went on TV to reassure the nation (wrong, TV didn't
exist then). Hell, she expropriate someone else's life story
like old Joe did either ("I was a welsh schoolboy who grew
up working in the coal mines....").

If you think I'm going to claim Joe Biden doesn't say nutty things almost constantly, you're totally wrong. And you may enjoy this post I wrote over at the popular Wonkette blog!

I hear that if McCain wins, as a cost-cutting measure the government will sell Number One Observatory Circle, the current vice presidential residence, and just put a double wide trailer up on the South Lawn at the White House.

You're absolutely right. I enjoyed that post very much. I
can imagine old Joe saying something lead-balloonish like
that.

Makes me miss the Onion.

My bad. I thought that was satire, and, like all good satire,
bitingly accurate.

Apparently he really said that. Oy vey.
