The New York Times has an *exclusive* excerpt from Elizabeth Bumiller's upcoming Condiography. The excerpt shows that the book will be every bit as surprising and fascinating as Glenn Kessler's The Confidante. Woo hoo. The best part, other than Bush calling her "Madame", is when Condi gets all bitchy about Dick Cheney, moaning to George about him getting all power-grabby 'n' such:
In August 2002, Ms. Rice went to Mr. Bush to tell him that Mr. Cheney had to be reined in after the vice president gave a speech to a Veterans of Foreign Wars convention in Nashville that effectively threatened war with Saddam Hussein and asserted that there was “false comfort” in sending United Nations weapons inspectors to Iraq.
And as we all know, Condi prevailed, Cheney was reined in, and war was averted. Hooray for Condi!

Isn't it cute the way Lynne keeps them from tearing one another apart by coyly pointing at some non-existent fascination in the distance?
Lynne is always perkily pointing at something. When she does this, Dick knows to cock his head at an endearing angle and haul in his fangs.
Of such are humanized, united administration photo-ops made.
p.s. Where's the Monday teaser? Some of us are up early, you know.
The Monday Condi Roundup at Wonkette isn't up yet. It's a good one, though.
I think I see Condi's fangs, though.
All dreadful people, derserving one another -- but, on second thought, Condi could star in a Lynne Lesbo novel...
