Bored Reuters Photographer Attempts to See London, France...

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice testifies before the U.S. House Appropriations Committee on the State Department's international affairs budget on Capitol Hill in Washington, March 21, 2007. REUTERS/Larry Downing (UNITED STATES) NOTE: both photos shown here uncropped.

Long-time readers of this blog know that nothing amuses me more than when the wire photographers get bored on the job and start doing weird things or getting distracted by the scenery. Can you blame them? Reuters' Larry Downing is perhaps king of the "bore me and you're in trouble" club. Click on the topic label below and see for yourself!

Anyway, Condi was on The Hill today, begging for money as usual. And, you know, Mr. Downing has seen this so many times that it's no wonder his attention... slips:

I guess it's only a matter of time before Reuters unveils its new "upskirt" sub-site.

My dentist has a camera that is shaped like an EPT test.

It takes really good pictures inside dark recesses if you know what I mean.

Mr. Downing could put one on his Christmas list

Ah, she's been crossing her legs so long that this will be as far as bored photographers get. She knows that her gams will provide sufficient titillation. No need to show them crotchless panties that RWers dream of.

Thank you, PSP, for making the Larry Downing category. Mr. Downing's work captures the exciting fun and subversive comedy inherent in living in a former democracy.

That's all we need (or is it what we've getting all along): Condi as the Basic Instinct gal.

Matty, Larry Downing is really great. He's on the Bush beat a lot, and he's also the one who took the priceless "Retire" picture of Dick Cheney.

before you go on ranting about Reuters photographers being bored...

I am a photojournalist for ZUMA pres, the reason Larry shot that image is to be creative. They are not bored, they are just looking for different angles and perspectives. It is all apart of the job. I sure as heck get tired of the same pictures of speakers faces time and time again. Larry saw the light on her legs and used it to produce a creative photograph. If your a photographer for someone like Reuters, you dont get bored, you love your job.

Stop with all your far left comments and grow up. Make a blog that actually has a point.

Cheers
