Condi Just Flew to the Mid-East, and Boy are Her Nuclear Arms Tired

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice (L) meets Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal in Jeddah October 2, 2006. Rice said on Monday she plans to ask Saudi Arabia to do more to help stabilize Iraq , encouraging it to influence Iraqi Sunnis to become more involved in the political process. Oh, this'll be a good Condiweek... can't you feel it? Yes, it's Conditourabia '06, and first up, of course, she must pay fealty to her real masters, the Saudi royal family. We'll be seeing a lot of prominently displayed Kleenex boxes over the next couple of days. And, adorably, all the leaders she meets will sit patiently with her, arrange matching armchairs photo-ops and quaintly pretend they take her seriously or believe a single word which comes out of her mouth. Ah, diplomacy, Dr. Ferragamo style!

But I doubt Prince Saud al-Faisal will hold her hand like he held George's:

Holding hands? I'm guessing not, but the photo is inconclusive.

At least they're not making her cover her head. That's a start, right?

I'm shocked she's not all covered up and looking like a tamale.
I'm sure the Prince was disgusted by her uppity American woman attitude.
How could she disrespect Bush's owner like that?!?
Off with her head!

I'm not sure Condi's having much fun.
Her manager just blamed her for 911

They sent her to the home office to be fired

I don't think Dr. Condi's head could be any more covered than it already is. No hijab in current production could hold its own against that coiffure.

Okay, the comment about the home office made me laugh. Sadly that's more truth than fiction. You think anyone pays a bit of attention to her any more? I don't see why they would.

Something interesting, that has always chapped my ass, is the blatent disregard our diplomats have for local culture - it seems that they are not even really trained for it. For example, showing the soles of your shoes in the Middle East is a big no-no: Ever notice how the men from there never cross their legs? Yet Condi does... as do our male diplomats. She should respect their culture/religion and cover her head. I bet that would go a long way. Not to mention give Ursula Plank something to worry about!

But I digress. I wonder how she got into Saudi as a single woman with no accompanying male relative? Hmmmm.... Is the Condibot male?
