Tropical Storm Condi Hits Utah!

Hooray! She's back from vacation! And for some reason I've been looking forward to this trip to the exotic wilds of Salt Lake City for quite a while. So what could be a better way for her to observe Katrina's big birthday celebration than by hangin' with a bunch of the whitest high school girls on the face of the Earth?

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, second right, greets East High School students Kirsten Schiel, left, Rebecca Brown, second left, and Heather Church, during a showing of violins painted by artists from countries around the world for the Strings of Diplomacy exhibit, Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006 in Salt Lake City. See? This is the kind of thing Condi should be doing all the time, not having to put up with totally mean people who just humor her and then do what they want anyway, like those Israeli and Hellzapoppin guys. Violins 4 Peace is totally more her speed.

But since it is the big Katrina birthday celebration, can we take a little peek back to what Condi was doing a year ago? OK, well, a little over a year ago, P. Diddy pretended to be Dr. Ferragamo... with hilarious results! Way, way, WAY more importantly, though, do you realize that this is the one-year anniversary of that fateful trip she took to the Ferragamo boutique in NYC while people in New Orleans were, you know, dealing with more inconvenient footwear?

But then she made up for it on September 5 by comforting and offering aid to the not-very-bedraggled white people of Alabama in the manner at which she excels: by holding a special photo-op just for them.

Awesome, Condi! Don't ever change.

Nice! Reminds me of Roseanne Rosannadanna's editorial decrying Violins on Television.

The little girl on the right looks a little uncomfortable with being Touched by a Real Colored Person.

"Strings of Diplomacy?" You can't make this stuff up.

Wouldn't it be awesome if Condi & her new girlfriends picked up those Strings of Diplomacy and started jamming? It would be like when Lucy & Ethel rocked out in the Wednesday Afternoon Fine Arts League.

She wore an all white outfit to Alabama, too. Without a hood, natch.

LOL!

I love how the caption for the photo singles out Condi's place for identification!

Like we'd miss her??!!
