Dumbing it Down... All the Way Down

Above is a snapshot from the Metro on the way home. This is their cutesy new campaign to get people to report "spicious" activities.

We're doomed.

Please don't tell me the root word of "spicious" is "spic."

That'd be terrible.

all they need now is a racially insensitive happy mascot to teach people to keep those eyes open for terror.

What is the number to call to report an illiterate President?

I have something specious to report...

This is beyond ebonics. Ebonics tend to be clever and descriptive.
Bush has created a whole new jargon: dumbonics.

I'm surprised you were able to take photos in a subway station. Here in Boston that is considered xtra-sumpnspicious and the police might arrestyoo, or at least harrassyerass.

I was a little self-concious of taking the picture, because it was obviously an unusual thing for a person to snap. But just earlier that day, I was thinking how much I wanted to write about that stupid campaign, so when I saw it on my car, I just had to get it, weird looks be damned!

Dearest Ms. Princess Sparkle Pony,
You're so...so sparkley. I just had to say thank you.

And brave....! I've just read something dreadful called the "Information Operations Roadmap" on the George Washington University National Security Archive web.
Oh dear! What can those naughty Generals be planning for my favourite Princess? Do be careful.

A magic ring of sparkley hooves to protect you.
Love,
Ms. Kitten.
