The Washington Post had an interesting article in yesterday's A Section about the use of mobile webcams ("robots", but not really) by doctors. They cutsily titled the article Video Robots Redefine "TV Doctor", and deceptively titled the inside continuence Robot Doctors Replacing Real Doctors. A more appropriate headline would have been OMG! Useful Purpose Found for Webcams!
But the photos really got me to thinking... what if your remote-viewing doctor was Bill Frist, famous for his long-distance misdiagnosis of Terri Shiavo?
