Quickie: Sarah Palin Not Very Adept at Meaningless Non-Answers

Here's CBS' sneak peak at Sarah Palin's big interview with Katie Couric tonight:

Katie Couric: If this doesn't pass, do you think there's a risk of another Great Depression?

Palin: Unfortunately, that is the road that America may find itself on. Not necessarily this, as it's been proposed, has to pass or we're gonna find ourselves in another Great Depression. But there has to be action taken, bipartisan effort – Congress not pointing fingers at this point at … one another, but finding the solution to this, taking action and being serious about the reforms on Wall Street that are needed.

Seriously? Is that the best thing they could come up with as a teaser? To quote adorable bear cub Matthew Yglesias, upon whom I have totally the biggest crush in the world, "Does that answer mean anything at all?"

UPDATE: OMG, I just watched it and she is a moron. Her answer to Katie's question about how McCain was always for less oversight but now he's for more oversight? "He's a maverick." And, honestly, kudos to Katie Couric for not accepting her non-answer.

I wonder if there's time to build a Palin-drone? (Somewhat like a Condibot)

I hate her. I really do.

Yes but really what would a great depression in Alaska look like?

Maybe every family wouldn't be able to afford their own Igloo... they would be forced to rent!

I'll have to remember that "he's a maverick" answer next time I'm asked whether I fucked up at work. "Hey, I'm a maverick!"

Terry - Scary!

OMG as I start to type this NPR is playing the very quote.

Here's my take:

Couric: "Why do you think that American economic & political leaders can't find their ass with both hands?"

Palin: "I believe this is true because like such as in South Africa and the Iraq, many people do not have a map of their ass."

Sorry to stack replies, but this Letterman clip from last night is relevant to the interests of the US Americans: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjkCrfylq-E

Credit goes to electoral-vote.com for pointing that out.

She's a moron? Seriously what Republican in the past 30 years
have you NOT said was a moron?

Either a moron or demonically evil. Am I right? Am I right?

Progressives are smart by definition. And anyone we hate is a moron.
