Yes, yes, it's really sad and everything that Bob Seeger died. My condolences to his family.
But seriously, I think it's overdoing it a bit to refer to the "Like a Rock" and "Strut" crooner as a "folk music pioneer." It's perfectly competent lite country-rock, I suppose (not really my kind of thing!), but it doesn't sound like folk music to me.
The New Seekers on the other hand? Sublime.

I've always been fonder of the New Main Street Singers, but à chacun son goût....
Bob Seger didn't die. Twitter got it wrong. It was Pete Seeger, 94 who died.
No no, I was thinking of Gerard Seghers, the 17th century Flemish still life painter. I fail to see how he is considered to be a "folk music pioneer" either.
So wait, what's your point?
Your dumbness made me happy. Good job!
(Even friggin' Althouse had to still her garbage-thoughts for a brief time. I guess we Commies won.)

New Seekers? You must have the same "free to be you and me" influence.
And here I thought "In the year 2525" was autobiographical/clairvoyance.
I like that old time rock n folk.
