You may recall that last year I pointed out the sad hilarity of Googling the phrase "I don't mean this in a racist way, but". Now there's a whole Tumblr blog which spotlights posts on the Facebooks which illustrate this phenomenon. You'll laugh, you'll cry, but you won't stand up and cheer.

Racist and stupid. It should of course be "I could not care less."
Thank you, Anonymous. People argue both sides of this, but only one side has logic behind it.
If I don't care at all, I could not care less, unless there is something defined as negative caring.
If I care, then I could care less.
Ergo, "I could NOT care less." is equivalent to "I don't care at all."
Thank you, fellow grammarians. It's good to know I'm not alone in the world. But what does "cause bullshit" mean? This individual's post is very strange, and another good reason not to be on Facebook. Who wants to be found by people like this?

Racist and stupid is no way to go through life.
Has the tumblr blog gone away? The link doesn't work...page not found....Perhaps it's for the best; it would have been unnecessary brutality to my delicate sensibilities, I'm sure.
Well we can take false comfort in the delusion that these folks are not racist and stupid and armed.
