Mean Ghadafi Impersonations & Caricatures Roundup!

(AFP)

Now you know that there is such a thing as a Moammar Gadhafi* drag queen.

These are disturbing, and not least because of the way the Star of David is used as defacement.

Remember the Middle Eastern Shoe Art Renaissance? Shoe imagery is still potent in the Muslim world.

I like this one of Daffy as Nero:

Great caricature, but maybe not quite mean enough:

I'm still chuckling at your calling him "Daffy."

And I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers when his name was spelled at least four or five different ways, often in the same news story, in most newspapers.

The Star of David thing weirds me out almost as much as Gawd Awffie does. Totally glad that the Bush Administration made friends with him.

Yes, the Star of David pixes also leave a very bad taste in my mouth -- ultimately, it seems, the "Jews" -- rather than the Colonel or the Libyans themselves -- are responsible, since "they" control him/us.

One of the problems with Qaddafi caricatures is all the bad plastic surgery he's had makes his face look lifeless, like Mickey Rourke. If you try to add that to your drawing of Gadhafi, you run the risk of just looking like an artist who can't do facial expressions.

It could work if you had a cartoon of Ghadafi with a blank, fleshy face mask hiding a chuckling melodrama villain's sneer.
